Powerhertz has successfully completed the R1 modelling and connection studies for the 250MVA synchronous condenser (SYNCON) in Sept 2025 and subsequently went on to complete the Hold Point testing in Dec 2025. Beon Energy Solutions has received the approval for commercial operation of the Syncon in March 2026. The newly commissioned SYNCON Ararat Terminal Station in Victoria will strengthen the power system and increase 600MW of renewable generation capacity in the Western Victoria region.
